Ayoze Jiménez Villalba
Ayoze Jiménez Villaba was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1978. He studied Art and Artistic Jobs in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Fine Arts in La Laguna University. At present he lives and works in Tenerife.
Ayoze Jiménez is a multidisciplinary artist who uses the language of urban art to show his vision of the world. By means of graffiti, drawing and paint, he transmits his sociopolitical message. This artist turns canvas into walls on which he acts, as a tagger, to make a hard social criticism.
Since 2000, he has exhibited his works in solo and group exhibitions in different halls and galleries in the Canary Islands and mainland Spain and he has participated in many Urban Art Festivals.
He has received several awards and grants, among which, stands out the Premio Regional de Artes Plásticas “Manolo Millares”. This artist has taken part in the international Exhibition of Postal Art in Granada, Spain, and in the Young Art Taipei in Taiwan.
